Food Kit Distribution

To provide food kits on a monthly basis to individuals in dire need.

Why did we do it?

Sparsh initiated the food kit program during the 1st lockdown in March 2020. It was during this period that we identified a number of senior citizens, widows and physically handicapped individuals who lived alone and had no one they could turn for support even when the situation normalised.

What did we do?

Keeping this dire situation in view we have continued to support 45 families with monthly food kits in the area between Killa-Pardi and Kaparada. Also considering that they lived in remote areas with limited access to transport our staff and volunteers ensure that the food kit is home delivered to the beneficiaries on the 3rd Sunday of each month.

The beneficiaries identified in this program are the most vulnerable population of the society. The monthly supply of food enables them to meet the most basic human need.
